If I can play Sims 2 on my laptop, can I play Spore on it too?

My graphics card is a Radeon x1200 and i have a 2GHz processor. and the Sims 2 works fine. but i am cautious that i don't want to spend $50 on Spore and it doesn't work. Please respond, thanks.If I can play Sims 2 on my laptop, can I play Spore on it too?
I would think yes, but it's not listed as one of the supported cards on the back of the box, but my card Radeon 4850 is not listed on the box either and the game run perfectly on my computer. Anyways it does say it needs 128 MB Video card with support for Pixel Shaders 2.0, so check if you Video card has both of those, if it does it should work.If I can play Sims 2 on my laptop, can I play Spore on it too?
